Terms of Service

This English text is provided for convenience. The Korean version governs in the event of any discrepancy.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of 튜터드(Tutrd) (the "Company") and its members, as well as the conditions and procedures for using the Overwatch replay feedback service overspec (the "Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "Member" means a person who agrees to these Terms, enters into a service agreement with the Company and uses the Service.
  • "Coach" means a member who has passed the Company's verification process and is authorised to write feedback on members' replays.
  • "Coins" means the in-service means of payment used to request feedback, consisting of paid coins purchased by the member and free coins granted by the Company.
  • "Replay" means the Overwatch gameplay video a member uploads in order to receive feedback.
  • "Feedback" means the timestamped analysis a coach produces after watching a replay.
  • "Request" means a member's use of coins to ask for feedback on a replay, and the record created thereby.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

The Company posts these Terms on the Service so that members can readily review them.

The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that the amendment does not violate the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, or other applicable laws.

Amendments are announced within the Service at least 7 days before the effective date, stating the effective date and the reason. Amendments unfavourable to members are announced at least 30 days in advance, and a member who does not accept them may terminate the service agreement.

Article 4 (Provision and Modification of the Service)

The Company provides members with the following:

  • Replay upload and intermediation of feedback requests
  • Access to coaches' timestamped feedback
  • Management of coin purchase and usage history
  • Any additional services the Company develops or offers through partners

The Service is in principle available 24 hours a day, year-round. The Company may suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, equipment replacement, network failure, force majeure or similar unavoidable reasons, and where prior notice is impracticable it may give notice afterwards.

The Company may modify the Service for operational or technical reasons and will announce the content of the change and its effective date in advance.

Article 5 (Registration and Accounts)

The service agreement is formed when a user agrees to these Terms, applies for membership using an email address or a Google account, and the Company accepts the application.

Children under the age of 14 may not register.

The Company may refuse an application, or terminate the agreement afterwards, in any of the following cases:

  • The application uses another person's name or information
  • The application contains false information or omits information required by the Company
  • The applicant's use was previously restricted for breach of these Terms
  • It is clear that the applicant intends to use the Service for an improper purpose

Members may not share, transfer or lend their account credentials, and are responsible for damage arising from their own failure to safeguard the account.

Article 6 (Member Obligations)

Members must not:

  • upload another person's gameplay footage, likeness or copyrighted work without authorisation;
  • include defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or hateful content in request notes, nicknames or similar fields;
  • upload obscene, illegally filmed or otherwise unlawful content;
  • use the Service for account boosting, account trading or other purposes contrary to the game publisher's terms;
  • access the Service by automated means or place an undue load on its servers;
  • abuse payment methods or circumvent or manipulate the coin granting logic;
  • transact directly with a coach outside the Service in order to bypass the Company's intermediation.

Article 7 (Coins)

Coins are a right of use valid only within the Service and are not exchangeable for cash, except for refunds under Article 9.

Coins are purchased through the payment gateway designated by the Company (PortOne) and are credited to the member's account once payment is approved.

Coins are tracked separately as paid coins (purchased by the member) and free coins (granted by the Company through events or compensation). Grants, usage and refunds are visible in the member's coin history.

Free coins may be consumed first when coins are spent, and refunds return coins of the same category that was consumed.

Paid coins are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase and may be used at any time within that period. Free coins are valid for the period notified at the time they are granted.

Article 8 (Formation and Fulfilment of Feedback Requests)

When a member uploads a replay and spends coins to submit a request, the coins are deducted immediately and the request becomes visible to coaches.

If no coach claims the request within 72 hours of submission, the request expires automatically and the coins spent are refunded to the member's account automatically.

A member may cancel a request at any time before a coach claims it, in which case the coins are refunded immediately. Once a coach has claimed the request, the coach's work is deemed to have begun and the request can no longer be cancelled.

If a coach fails to submit feedback within the applicable deadline and the request is released, the request either becomes claimable by another coach or expires with the coins refunded.

Feedback reflects the coach's professional but subjective judgement. The Company does not guarantee any particular outcome, such as improvement in skill or rank.

Article 9 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds)

Under Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, a member may withdraw a coin purchase within 7 days of the purchase date. Unused paid coins are refunded through the original payment method.

Withdrawal may be restricted where:

  • the coins have already been spent on a request that a coach has claimed or delivered;
  • the coins were granted free of charge;
  • the value of the coins has been lost or impaired due to reasons attributable to the member.

The Company takes the steps necessary for a refund within 3 business days of receiving the request; actual settlement may take additional time depending on the payment gateway and card issuer.

Refund requests can be submitted through the Service or by email to overspec.app@gmail.com.

Article 10 (Content Rights and Retention)

Copyright and other rights in an uploaded replay remain with the member or the rightful owner.

Members agree that the Company and the coach who claimed the request may view and use the replay to the extent necessary to deliver feedback, operate and quality-check the Service, and handle disputes. The Company does not publish replays externally or use them for promotion beyond that scope without the member's prior consent.

Uploaded replay videos are deleted automatically 90 days after the request is completed, cancelled or expired. Members should keep their own copy of anything they need before then.

Copyright in the feedback belongs to the coach who wrote it. Members may view and use it for personal purposes through the Service, and may not redistribute it commercially without the coach's consent.

Article 11 (Restriction of Use and Termination)

Where a member breaches these Terms or interferes with the normal operation of the Service, the Company may progressively restrict use after prior notice. Where the breach is serious or urgent, use may be suspended immediately with notice given afterwards.

Members may terminate the agreement (withdraw membership) at any time through the Service or by contacting support.

Upon termination, remaining free coins are forfeited and remaining paid coins are handled after assessing eligibility for a refund under Article 9. Personal data is destroyed or retained for the period required by law in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

overspec is a fan-made service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. Overwatch is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

The Company does not warrant the content, accuracy or usefulness of feedback exchanged between members and coaches, and is not liable for decisions a member makes in reliance on it, save for damage caused by the Company's wilful misconduct or negligence.

The Company is released from liability where it cannot provide the Service due to force majeure, power failure, a telecommunications provider's outage or other causes beyond its reasonable control.

Article 13 (Damages and Limitation of Liability)

Either the Company or a member may claim damages caused by the other party's fault.

Where the Company is liable to a member, and absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence, its liability is limited to the amount that member paid to the Service during the preceding 6 months.

Article 14 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms and use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

The Company and the member will endeavour to resolve any dispute in good faith; failing agreement, either party may bring an action before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on 2026-07-26.
